2019 - 2020 ✧ Pacific International Hospital, Port Moresby, PNG - Medical Director / CMO & Head of Cardiac Surgery

Joined to re-organize this tertiary private Hospital. All medical staff - doctors, nurses and technicians - and auxiliary services (Pharmacy, Medical Records, Radiology, Laboratory, Pathology, Blood Banking) report to me. Main purpose is to reorganize patient services to improve quality and outcome, prepare and organize the hospital for accreditation by starting a substantial clinical governance and quality control program and organize a cardiac team to start the only cardiac surgery service in the country. Organize the PR work of the hospital, start new marketing initiatives and start training programs for young local doctors.

Due to the onset of the COVID pandemic and the need for quarantine hospital and ICU space in Port Moresby the cardiac surgery program was terminated. With the declaration of a state of emergency in PNG I left the country.
